Welcome to my obsession! I am a primarily self-taught potter and have been creating one-of-a-kind, functional and whimsical pottery since 2015.

Krista Sweet is a primarily self-taught potter who came to this medium by pure luck taking a ‘2 hour learn to pot’ class in the Junction. That brief encounter with the studio owner/potter turned into an obsession with clay.

After spending 2 years with a potter’s guild in Mississauga learning the ins and outs of glazing and kiln function, she built her own studio at her sister’s farm in Scugog and began selling her products at arts shows / events in the GTA. She even dipped her toe into teaching, hosting a series of classes over the next several years. In 2020, she moved her studio to Uxbridge and continues to create and sell. Her work is cheerful, employing a wide range of colour and texture on a large variety of pieces…everything from wee trinket bowls to extra-large serving bowls and platters. You can find her booth in local farmers’ markets and art shows primarily in the northeastern GTA from May through December. She posts regularly to her instagram account (see link above)
