Douglas MacDonald has been sculpting and casting for over 25 years, using inspiration from stonework that adorns heritage and historical buildings in Europe and North America. His work has been commissioned by Parliament Hill in Ottawa. Each piece is made from a cast stone mixture with an iron and chromium oxide patina and a weatherproof sealer is applied to protect it from the elements year-round.
