“I’m strongly inspired by nature. The Mitsuro Hikime beeswax technique allows me to create jewellery that has organic texture and flow. As a result, each piece is different and unique.

Asel is a jewellery artist creating long-lasting original designs with precious metals and stones. She’s been attracted to the idea of jewellery as an art form since childhood, inspired by her mom’s jewellery and their trips together to the local art museum. Fascinated by texture, color and fluidity in nature, Asel uses various jewellery fabrication techniques – filigree, mitsuro hikime wax, silver clay to name a few – to create original and unique pieces. She strives to add moments of magic and whimsy into each piece. She loves what she does and looks forward to sharing her creations with you.

After working in the corporate world for over 15 years, Asel pursued jewellery making. She completed the required course work at George Brown College in Toronto and got the Certificate in Fundamental Jewellery Making. She continuously expands her skills and experience by taking a variety of courses and workshops.
