I am an emerging artist from Ontario Canada, with a big future. I am currently attending OCADU’s drawing and painting program and I am excited to be making connections that will further my career in the arts. I work hard every day to continue drawing and painting to keep my creative muscles strong even around my busy schedule. My artwork is meant to inspire and spread joy. I have been painting in acrylics since I was 9, and in oils since I was 14. I am 19 now and learning new techniques with my favourite medium, oil paints. I love to apply paint in thick, impressionistic brushstrokes and contrast those dramatic marks with smoothness and variation in colour.

Artemis Lishman is a nineteen-year-old oil painter attending the drawing and painting program at OCADU. He lives with his grandmother Paula Lishman in Blackstock, Ontario, and spends any spare time he has between work and school painting. He has been painting and drawing since he was old enough to hold a brush, as he was raised by a creative and supportive family of artists. He has been more seriously painting since he was nine years old and is now exploring oil paints and the human figure in his works.
