Weaver

SITE #1 8 Myrtle Road, Ashburn with artists Harvey Walker and Sarah Porter

“I have been weaving for more than twenty years and am captivated by its intricate blend of texture and colour. Whether working with fine silk or chunky wool, each fibre offers a unique sensory experience that can be manipulated to create striking patterns and designs. The satisfaction of bringing order to chaos and the unique way that weave structures reveal a hidden colour drives my passion.”

Pat has been weaving for more than 30 years, drawn to the slow, meditative process of creating cloth through the intricate blend of texture and colour. She works on traditional wooden floor looms, adapting historic patterns to 21st century textile needs, using natural fibres such as cotton, silk, hemp and locally sourced Ontario wool.

Pat is passionate about weaving and sharing her love of the craft with others through teaching and volunteering. Her weaving has been shown in galleries in Canada and the U.S. and is currently available at the Ontario Legislative Assembly gift shop and on her website nakedlambweaving.com.
