I am a landscape painter who uses images from hikes and my travels into out of the way areas for my artwork. I paint in acrylics, and my paintings reflect my interest in the lakes and forests that surround us.  I have a contemporary approach to the classic subject matter of landscape.

Lori Korkola grew up in Northwestern Ontario. She left to continue her education first at Humber College and then the University of Toronto where she received her BFA. Lori continued her education at UBC where she received her Bachelor of Education.

She has been a secondary Art teacher for the past 34 years while she painted in her off time. Lori has participated in many regional juried shows and has had solo exhibits at Scugog Arts Council and a gallery in B.C. Recently retired she looks forward to more hiking and painting time.
