I create because it takes me into another world where I can explore ideas through the medium of glass. Taking an idea and turning it into an actual object creates many questions on how to get there. It is answering those questions that excite and terrify me at the same time.

I started my glass fusing career by accident, a friend gave me some of her scrap glass and I played around. I was not interested in stained glass but saw an off cut of glass and held it up to my shirt and started to see endless possibilities in jewellery. I travelled Ontario doing craftshows from the late 90’s to 2015 as a jeweller. In 2007 I moved to Prince Edward County and opened a gallery in an 1880’s barn and continued to create and sell from there. I started to explore larger pieces and have never turned back. I have been showcased in print, TV and radio over the years. I have been a member of The Prince Edward Studio Tour for the last 17 years. I have taught Glass Fusing at Haliburton School of Art and Design for the last 10 years and I also teach a fabulous 6-week course teaching kids through the PEC Arts Council called The Youth Craft Academy and I teach workshops in the studio.
