Inspired by decorative stonework that adorns historical and heritage buildings I sculpt and cast a myriad of gargoyles, greenmen, and grotesques.

Douglas MacDonald has been sculpting and casting for over 25 years, using inspiration from stonework that adorns heritage and historical buildings in Europe and North America. His work has been commissioned by Parliament Hill in Ottawa.

Each piece is made from a cast stone mixture with an iron and chromium oxide patina and a weather proof sealer is applied to protect it from the elements year round.

His current list of shows and exhibits includes One of a Kind show Toronto, Art in the Park Windsor, Stratford Garden Festival, Artfest Kingston, Originals Spring and Christmas Show Ottawa, Merrickville Studio Tour, Fantasy in the Forest Perth Road Village, The Artful Garden Bracebridge, Art in the Garden Perth.
