I love creating and I am inspired by everything around me, and I especially love the organic look and feel I can achieve with the melting and fusing of sterling silver.
My jewellery is all made from sterling silver often accented with karat gold and/or genuine stones and pearls.
I use various traditional silversmithing techniques to fabricate my jewellery such as fabrication, reticulation, casting, fusing, forging and art clay silver to create a variety of pieces. As well, my chainmail utilizes my own hand-cut jump rings.
I take great pride in my designs and the quality of my craftsmanship and am proud to offer high quality, unique and distinctive jewellery that I hope is loved as much as I love making it.
Diane is the designer and maker and works out of her home studio in Port Perry, Ontario. Honing her skills over the last number of years has been quite the journey of discovery and experimentation, which never really stops!
Arts and crafts were always a big part of Diane’s life, but when she stepped into a silversmith studio for the first time, after a life-long love of silver jewellery, she knew she had found her passion.
After finishing classes in silversmithing, art clay silver and glass fusing, the rest has been self-taught. She started her journey doing juried art shows.
In 2011 she continued her dream by opening her own shop in Downtown Port Perry, one of the best experiences of her life. She ran that with her husband until February of 2020.
Diane’s tagline says it all…jewellery ~ express yourself
