Artist Statement

I’m in awe of the natural world…its colours, patterns, textures — even its ‘flaws’. My work strives to convey the beauty I see in nature.

About the Artist

Audrey Morgan is SO pleased to be a guest again on the Lake Scugog Studio Tour 2023.

About 17 years ago, a life-long wish to work with silver was fulfilled when she embarked on her own course of study with some terrific teachers: Beverly Smith, Anne Grotrian @ GBC, Catherine Crowe and Kensington Silver Studio.

META4 Gallery (Port Perry) continues to provide her with a venue to sell her work, grow as an artist and teach. Bonnie & Birgitta: forever grateful! Her work is also displayed and sold at Trias Gallery in Oakville. Thank you, Indira! Audrey’s ‘Little Magpie’ website and online store keeps her very busy, too.

Audrey is in awe of the natural world…its colours, patterns, textures — even its ‘flaws’. Her work strives to convey the beauty she sees in nature. Sterling silver, copper & gemstones are her materials of choice. Etching, forging, milling and fabricating are her favoured techniques. Audrey is thrilled when what she offers speaks to something in another. Ultimately, she creates to forge connections.

If Audrey isn’t in her studio, you can be sure to find her in the kitchen or vegetable patch…or the woods. She is a firm believer in holistic health (and sound science, too!) and strives for a balanced approach in all matters of the head and heart.

Fly by. Say ‘hi’.
