Cearra Howey – Photographer
Photography has always inspired me, I love being able to see the beauty in landscapes, capturing that beauty, and sharing it with others.
About the Artist
Cearra is a Port Perry native who has always had an interest in her community. At just 21 years of age, Cearra has had an interest in art her whole life. Cearra was an avid photography student at Port Perry High School. She received the art certificate in her high school graduation. Cearra went on to study marketing at Durham College and is completing her last year at Ontario Tech University. Through her schooling, Cearra never gave up her passion for art and photography. In April of 2018, Cearra was hired as a photographer at The Standard Newspaper. That enabled her to not only keep pursuing her passion but to also gain more experience in different genres of photography and advance her skills. Most recently, Cearra won first place for an acrylic painting she entered in the 2019 Port Perry Fair. Cearra now runs her own business in Port Perry and serves on several committees within the community.
